Grounded in architecture and urban planning, my work has unfolded into a transdisciplinary inquiry on the entanglements between social and ecological systems. I pursue this inquiry through engaged research, combining critical fields such as enactivism, political ecology, feminist political ecology, social learning and critical pedagogy with participatory and creative methodologies.
I apply this approach to water and river challenges, collaborating with communities, civil society organisations, public institutions and academic partners across Latin America, Asia, Africa and Europe. More recently, I have extended it to climate adaptation, where I am interested in how the processes through which responses are conceived and deliberated shape their outcomes.
Across these contexts, I work alongside local initiatives and multi-actor processes to understand and support transformation on the ground, while developing theory from the experience of that practice.
